Paper, Order, or Assignment Requirements

This assignment requires you to use appropriate financial ratios to analyze a public listed
corporation from the Main Board of the Stock Exchange Commission (SE) in order to advise
potential investors about its investment prospect. Financial ratios related to past
performance can be usefully applied:
• To evaluate financial performance (compared to previous years and peers);
• To set the benchmarks or standards for performance measurement;
• To highlight areas that in need of improvement or to highlight areas that offer most
promising prospects for the future
• To enable external stakeholders (such as investors/lenders) in assessing the credit
worthiness or profitability of the firm.
You are required to choose one of the three companies from the Main Board of the Stock
Exchange Body listed below, as each has at least one competitor in the same industry:
• Agriculture sector
• Industrial sector
• Service sector
This report should have an introduction, a body and conclusion. The body is composed of
the analysis of the firm. The overall conclusion of the report is a comparative evaluation of
the firm to at least one other competitor in the Main Stock Exchange Board and also its
industry to determine the overall strategic financial health of the firm. This will be very
useful to retail investors and lenders in investment decision-making.
