Order Description

Bob often downloads movies online. Based on his experience, Bob felt that the download speed varied depending on the time of the day. He wanted to test his hunch by downloading one gigabyte of data three different times throughout the day — early (7AM), evening (5 PM) and late evening (12 AM). Use the following data to analyze the Bob’s findings via ANOVA (Time of Day and Download Speed.sav).

Example: “Using a sample of 37 automobiles, a one-way ANOVA was conducted to compare fuel economy for three categories of automobiles [i.e. four cylinder (n=19), six cylinder (n=10), and eight cylinder (n=8) automobiles]. There was a significant difference in fuel economy between the groups [F (2, 34) = 39.10, p < .001]. Post hoc comparisons using the Tukey test indicated that there was a difference in the fuel economy between the four cylinder automobiles (M=30.02, SD = 4.18) and six cylinder (M=21.01, SD = 4.08), as well as between the four cylinder (M = 30.02, SD = 4.18) and the eight cylinder automobiles (M=17.45, SD 1.20). However, there was no significant difference in fuel economy between the six and eight cylinder automobiles, p = .113. Based on the results, we can conclude that four cylinder cars have better fuel economy than six and eight cylinder cars (by 9 mpg and 12.6 mpg, respectively), but six and eight cylinders cars do not meaningfully differ from one another in terms of their miles per gallon consumed.”
