At a car service center, customers can get oil changes, filter changes, and state inspections.

The service center has 3 bays where cars can be worked on. The center employs 2 junior technicians who can perform oil and filter changes only, and 2 certified technicians who can perform oil changes, filter changes as well as state inspections.

Customers arrive randomly throughout the day (from 8 am to 5 pm). The usual number of customers per day is 40.

50% of customers want an oil change, 55% want a filter change, and 20% want a state inspection. One customer may take just one service or any combination of services, purely based on chance (no conditional probabilities). The combination of services is determined before any of the services takes place.

A filter change is performed in 20 minutes on average, an oil change takes 26 minutes on average, and a state inspection takes between 1 hour and two hours.

If successive services are requested by a customer, they are performed at the same bay, in the following order : oil change, filter change, state inspection.

2) What’s the total number and average time in the service center for each type of customer ( fileter only, oil only, filter and oil, filter and state, oil and state, filter oil and state, state only, etc.)?

3) What is the maximum waiting time for all types of customers?

4) Propose and test ways of improving the operations of this service center/
