1. Thanksgiving is next week (and I don’t have a menu made!)! Discuss how forecasting is used from the business aspect (retail) as well as from the customer’s point of view (you or someone who
frequents that specific business/industry). Describe 3 ways from both the business aspect and the customer’s point of view.

2)The holidays are coming up, and temporary workers are moving in. Discuss at least 3 S&OP aspects involved for each (1) retail stores and (2) manufacturing facilities that are being faced with the
holidays around the corner.

3)In order to write your S&OP, you must have your forecasting completed. However, in order to forecast properly, you need to know the focus of your S&OP (what are you trying to forecast, such as
demand, staffing, time, resources, etc.). As manager of operations within your company, how do you get both the forecasting and S&OP done?

4)Many companies are placing a larger emphasis on logistics and supply chain management. Describe (1) how your company or industry utilizes logistics and/or supply chain management and (2) as a
manager, what would you do differently in regards to logistics and/or supply chain management in your company or industry.
