One of your grading criteria for this course is the completion of a 5 – 10 page research paper
(1,250 – 2,500 words). All papers must have proper grammar and spelling to be accepted.
At least three research references must be used for this paper. The paper must be in APA format using
MSWord.
Choose one criminal suspect identification process currently in use (i.e. fingerprint analysis,
DNA, ballistics, facial recognition, tattoo recognition, explosives analysis, etc.) and explain
the history of that particular process and how it has been used to solve specific crimes. Be
specific on the crime(s) solved. As an example: how explosives analysis was used to solve
the bombing of Pan Am flight 103
