Combat Outpost Korengal

Order Description evaluate how effectively CPT Dan Kearney was during his command in the Korengal Valley by supporting the 6 command principles. The principles that need to be examine are:
1. Build cohesive team through trust
2. created shared understanding
3. provided clear commander’s intent
4. Exercised disciplined initiative
5. Used mission orders
6. Accepted prudent risk
Must address at least 5 principles and suggest how the commander perform those task and how it ultimately affected the battle’s outcome. Must determine by research if the selected commander executed good or bad mission command during the battle.
I believe that he supported all principles during his occupation of Korangal Valley of eastern Afghanistan and executed good mission command. Analysis should cover their deployment at Combat Outpost (OP) Korenga, construction of an advanced outpost called “OP Restrepo”, negotiations with the local people, the challenges, intermittent fire-fights they face and Operation Rock Avalanche.
