Contrastive Analysis Academic Essay

You need to choose two texts – both written or both spoken or spoken and written. These should be texts that have not been analysed before; they should not be texts which have been already included in academic material (e.g. textbooks). Primarily draw upon grammatical knowledge, understanding and skills of linguistic analysis learned in Analysing English 1 (e.g. analysis of noun phrases, verb phrases and clauses; lexical density analysis; linguistic characteristics of conversation and writing).  Where relevant, you may draw upon knowledge, understanding and skills of linguistic analysis learned in other modules you have studied.
