Acquisition using Labview.
Develop a .vi that acquires an analog voltage signal in the range from 100 Hz
to 9 kHz.
• Use Channel 0 differential (Pins 2 and 3 as inputs)
• Set the parameters for Sampling rate, 18 KHz, and Number of samples
9000.
• Use Waveform Graph to display the output. You may have to adjust the
properties of the x and y axes to make your graph look meaningful.
• Use Tone Measurements under Analysis to extract the frequency and amplitude
of the signal.
• From the Frequency output of Tone Measurements add a Front Panel LED
indicator that will light if the input signal is within 6% of
4100 Hz −163 × ((Number of the month you were born, ie Jan = 1…)).
• Use Spectral Measurements to determine the spectrum of the signal, display
the output of Spectral Measurements on a Waveform Graph as appropriate.
The graph should have the correct axis (ie Frequency on the
x-axis). You may use your choice of Measurements, Window, and Linear/dB
from properties of the Spectral Measurements .vi. However in your
report, you must explain why you made those choices. Again, you may
have to adjust the properties of the Waveform Graph to give meaningful
results.
Test your vi with a function generator that outputs sine, square, and triangle
signals in the appropriate frequency range.
Since the input signal is periodic, you can compute its Fourier Series. In
your report, you should compare the spectrum of the calculated fourier series
to your Labview results.
