Order Description
Analyse the concept of ‘Integrated Emergency Management’ (IEM) and evaluate shortcomings in the intervention into the 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing. You are, furthermore, to assess efforts made since the 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing improve arrangements for multi-agency intervention into a similar emergency or disaster, and you are to propose different and/or additional measures or approaches that you would judge to be necessary.

You will be assessed on:

a) the quality of your analysis and evidence presented in support of different views on the concept of ‘Integrated Emergency Management’;
b) the quality of your evaluation of inadequate IEM in a case study emergency or disaster;
c) the suitability of your proposals, and the evidence you provide in support of them, to deal with integrated emergency management issues or ‘problems’; and on
d) your use of appropriate supporting sources and case studies.
