Choose and carefully study one of the scripture passages for this week. Record TEN of the most significant observations. This week simply record your Observations by stating the category of
observation, the raw materials category and grammatical/literary relationship, and the text references (chapter and verse numbers where the observation is found). No explanation is needed, and no
bolded text is required.

Interpretive Questions:
Ask two interpretive questions from the section of scripture you will choose for your Application (see below). No answer is needed

Write a short one to two page exegetical essay on a portion of your text (not the entirety of the passage, maybe just a paragraph). State the chapter and verse reference of the passage on which you
have chosen to write. Include in your discussion the Observations and Interpretative Questions relating to the text you have chosen for this application section. Show relationships within your
passage and also with other paragraphs in the segment or book. Consult at least one commentary and with the help of that commentary answer your Interpretative Questions (document fully with
footnotes as you would in a paper). Then, suggest an Application for the passage giving an illustration from modern life (Literal or non-literal). This section is to be written in full sentences as
you would write a short exegetical paper.
