INTERVIEW INSTRUCTIONS
Conduct an interview of at least 10 questions with a person who does counselingas a primary portion of his/her vocation (counselor, psychologist, counseling pastor, etc.). The questions must be open-ended, and require more than just a simple “yes” or “no” answer.The aim of the interview is to discover the counselor’s personal model for decision-making as well as learn from a current practitioner in the field.(Hint: Your interviewee may not have one, so yourquestions mustseek to discover how he/shegoes about making decisions in his/her position.)Consider the following areas in developing your questions: theoretical approach, biblical integration, ethics, and sexual issues they may have encountered in the counseling setting (pornography, infidelity, infertility, same-sex attraction, etc.).
The body of the paper must be 3–5 pages and contain a general summary of the interviewee’s approach to decision-making and your critique as to its strengths and weaknesses. This critique must be based on counselingpractices and biblical principles. The full transcript of the interview (questions and answers) must be submitted in writing as an appendix to the paper. Proper APA format must be followed;however, an Abstract and Reference Page are not required for this assignment.
