In my readings, I decided to critique the assertion made that technology-based informal learning is more than substance. When reviewing the information on learning it has been noted in the article by Nancy J. Lewis (Feb 2001) that 70 to 80 percent of people does not work. Yes, the world uses and depends on technology. In fact, since technology is something the world is becoming more depend on it is academicians and leaders who must be responsible to help people build on their knowledge of skills. Technology based learning works it is evident even with kids. Learning with technology can be affective and transform learning. Learning is fun and user centric when formal, informal, and collaborative learning with technology. Jay Cross insisted that all learning is part of formal and past of informal. It was noted that technology and globalization, has increased informal learning especially with the use of online (Internet). This evident in some adult learners because adult learners seek to gain knowledge through formal and informal training delivered through self-paced distance learning.

Analyze key reasons why certain adults do not avail themselves of adult education opportunities. Propose two (2) strategies that your current or prospective post-secondary learning environment could leverage in order to encounter the participation in organizational learning overall. Adults learn differently from younger students. Most adults enter tasks with different experiences which may cause them to be discouraged. Adult learners come from so many individualized backgrounds of teaching and learning. Adult have a difficult time in making themselves available for adult educational opportunities because they are ready to learn things they need to know and do in order to be effective in their daily lives. Adults also need to validate the information based on their beliefs and experience. Nevertheless, some adult have taken learning seriously by their increase usage and access to technology. Technology and online learning has opened the doors for some adult learners. Adult learners who are using technology have created and gained a wealth of learning opportunities in business and for educational institutions. Adult Learners can be convince to try new skills and attend educational institutions and participate in organizational. Learning by giving them resources to help educate them on the advantages and disadvantages of learning . Next, by providing incentives or free online classes. For some adult learners reading is a barrier so providing visual and field work experience with a mentor or coach to assist with coursework. Most importantly networking and collaborating. With collaborating and networking helping adult learners through the use of formal computer instruction to help with computer anxiety. In addition providing the adult learner with formal learning with use of activities, that is pursuits of understanding, knowledge and skills. Overall, it will take motivation and sense of accomplishment which can lead to a vision for the future.
