Your paper or report will require that you become a semi-expert in a stock. Yes you will gather information about a firm’s stock price, history, products and services
offered, key executives and compensation, but more importantly you will gather information about how a firm’s financial accounting may influence your decision to
purchase, hold, or sell a stock.

• What is the opening price, market cap, volume, price-earnings ratio, gross margin, earning per share, revenue, and yield on the day you decided to investigate your
company? (pick a day to gather information this month)
• What is the closing price, market cap, volume, price-earnings ratio, gross margins, earning per share, revenue, and yield on the day you decided to investigate your
company? (pick a day to gather data during finals week)
• Discuss the company profile—sector, type of industry, auditor, number of employees, competitors, top 5 bondholders, and key executives and their compensation
• Interpret a stock analysis as found in the data base and its position regarding “bulls vs. bear” market for your chosen firm
• Identify any research, mergers, or acquisitions
• Identify the type of economic market you think best fits your chosen firm (e.g. perfect competition, monopoly, monopolistic competition, oligopoly) and why
• Conclude with a prediction of stock price by the end of the year—will it increase or decrease and would you buy, hold, or sell the stock?
-Your paper must be at least three to five pages with standard margins, typed, double-space, with a font size of 11 and style of Times New Roman.
-Title Page—Title or Statement of the argument, school name, student name, school year, word count
-Body–Discuss history, products and services offered, competitors, identify three key executives and complete an analysis based on the database discussed in class.
