Paper , Order, or Assignment Requirements

Background

This assignment requires you to perform inferential techniques on the dataset (“Phone.xlsx”) used in Assignment 1 and then report your findings to a person with little or no knowledge of statistical data analysis.

As for Assignment 1,the assignment is to be completed in groups of two or three and is to be submitted both electronically and in identical hardcopy.There will be a link in Moodle under Week 10 for the electronic submission.

Your submission will be comprised of two parts :

Part 1 :  Data Analysis(mostly handwritten —a maximum of  8 pages);

Part 2 :  A reply to Lionel Ronaldo’s questions in the form of a memorandum(maximum of two pages).

Scenario

As was the case in Assignment 1, you are playing the role of Hasan Choudhury,an analyst at an electronics and communication magazine. Lionel Ronaldo,one of the senior editors at the magazine, has written to you again regarding the phone dataset. His memorandum is reproduced below.

Dear Hasan

Thank you for your earlier response. I also need the following information.

1. Please provide me with a 90% confidence interval for :
   1. the mean monthly bill for ALL users?
   2. the proportion of ALL users who are on a post-paid plan?

We wrote previously that, on average, phone users spend more than $61.50 on their monthly bill. Please check if this is still the case (at 5%
