Mozi and Han Feizi on Ruling (Chinese Philosophy)

You will be comparing Chinese Philosophers Mozi and Han Feizi from the book “Readings in Classical Chinese Philosophy 2nd Edition” – Philip J. Ivanhoe.

Title: Mozi and Han Feizi on Ruling
Thesis/Argument: Despite Mozi and Han Feizi both agree on reward and punishment on ruling, but their ideas of ruling are very different to each other.

(1) This is a paper that argues the way Mozi and Han Feizi’s idea on ruling. (So you have to have an argument for the topic)
(2) The paper must critically treats one or two assigned texts on topics (So you should have only one or two quotes on each Philosopher, and compare them)
(3) You must have a clear thesis/argument on what you are about to write in the Introduction paragraph
(4) It is a 5 pages paper, so Citation page is not considered as one page or even word count.
(5) Please make sure you cite the quote in MLA Style
(6) Do not cite anything from the internet, only cite from the book (I also have the book, so I will be monitoring if something is off)
(7) I will upload my proposal on this topic, it should gives you an idea what you should focus on
(8) The book “Readings in Classical Chinese Philosophy 2nd Edition” must be the second edition, because the page number and content is slightly different to the first edition. (I only have the PDF on the 1st edition, I will upload it also.) But again, you must cite from the 2nd edition.
(9) Like normal essay, you must have introduction and conclusion
