This assignment requires you to analyze an organization’s response to a crisis event.

The case study should include:

Background on the organization.

An overview of the crisis event.

The organization’s apparent crisis response strategy, key messages, key publics and channels of communication.

A timeline of key crisis events, including organizational responses and media coverage.

Other key publics’ responses to the crisis event and organizational response.

A critical assessment of the organization’s response based on best practices as presented in course materials.

Lessons learned from this case for crisis managers.

Recommendations for how the response might have been improved. Appropriate citation (e.g., APA) should be used.
