Paper , Order, or Assignment Requirements

Provide a short narrative of about 300 words that shows how you propose to conduct an experimental test on the chosen hypothesis (topic listed above). You will probably prefer to use conversational language in preparing this report, but be as specific as you can. This will mean that you will need to come up with some tentative operational definitions. Do not be concerned if the proposal appears incomplete. There are bound to be many unknowns, but you should at least attempt to include answers to the following questions after you have chosen a hypothesis:

How can you define the behavioral problem you are studying in a way that enables you to restate the hypothesis more clearly or improve it? A restatement or improvement should indicate a thorough understanding of the hypothesis.

Where could you conduct this research project?

Who could serve as subjects?

What are two or more different approaches to carrying out your experiment?

Which of the “tools of psychological science” will you use?

Can you imagine a pattern of results that would suggest confirmation of your hypothesis?

Can you think of any personal, practical, legal, ethical, or other obstacles that might prevent you from completing this project before the end of the course?
