Many of us are interested in place based education, There are many aspects to place based education, which include critical pedagogy, place based theory, multiple contexts (individual, local, national, international), our own history and perspectives, ways of listening (to place), historical narratives, and actual classroom curriculum. In this assignment, explore the various dimensions/themes of PBE that appeal to you. Explore the theoretical framing of these themes. How might they inform your practice? In your discussion, take a critical stance, relating these themes to societal dimensions of power. If possible, include an actual encounter or interaction with a place or space.
