Policy memo
own research this week for the policy memo at right. (Cite and use references, but keep memo lean. Use bullet points when appropriate. Two pages preferable, but three OK. Memos are due Wednesday at noon. Working with a partner, provide some background for the situation (data, data, data), describe the stakeholders and their opinions on the issue, describe some of the policy alternatives to reduce the likelihood of such a problem or to resolve the policy problem and the pros and cons of each solution, and then pick your recommended alternative with justification.

Policy Memo #2: Due Mon. 4/10 to the Dropbox
Local Government Memo – You are the policy advisor for the Mayor of Atlanta. In light of the events in Ferguson, MO, there are worries that such an incident could happen in Atlanta. The mayor has asked for a formal policy memo that would make a recommendation that could possibly reduce the likelihood of a police-involved shooting and that would simultaneously provide some evidence when facts in a case are disputed (as in Ferguson).
