OMT 156 Problem Solving Skills 9010SP
At the beginning of this course you selected a current problem either at FTCC or in another aspect of your life, such as personal life, work, church or volunteer and
have been applying the objectives for problem-solving learned in this course. If you have been posting to your journal as assigned this portion of your assignment
should be relatively simple. You will now compile the information you posted to your journal and prepare your summary paper. In your paper you should have four
distinct sections:
• Identification of the problem – which is stated in your problem statement. This will serve as the thesis statement for your paper.
• Gathering and Analyzing Data – summarize the data your gathered and briefly summarize your process for analyzing it.
• Developing and Evaluation Alternatives – summarize your process for developing and evaluating your alternatives. List your alternatives and provide supporting
documentation (evidence of brainstorming and mindmapping activities)
• Implement and Verify your Soluction – State your chosen solution, how it was implemented and provide a summary of your results to date.
During the last module of this course you will be required to submit a summary paper compiled from information posted to your journal. This paper will be required to
include your problem statement and how you followed the objectives to arrive at your potential solution. A title page and a reference page will be required in addition
to the use of acceptable APA business format.
