Paper, Order, or Assignment Requirements
TOPIC: Social media and Depression

Reference article: Will be uploaded as a PDF and you can use this article as your guide and reference for the paper (we only need one reference but you can use another article as well)

Overview: For this assignment you are asked to a) choose a problem area of interest to you (I chose social media and depression), b) find at least one (1) article and two (2) sources of national or state data that bear upon the problem, and c) using these materials as support, make a convincing argument that the problem needs to be addressed (presumably by some unspecified program initiative that you have designed and are seeking monetary support for). The final paper will be a carefully articulated exposition of the nature of the problem at the national or state level, as shown by your interpretation of two tables of data you construct as supporting information.

CREATE YOUR OWN TWO TABLES FROM THE ARTICLE. CHOOSE WHAT INFORMATION YOU NEED FROM THE TABLES GIVEN IN THE ARTICLE AND CREATE YOUR OWN.

Please be sure you have checked the paper for organization, sentence structure, grammatical errors, punctuation, and typographical errors; that your references are formatted according to APA style guidelines, and that you have followed instructions about constructing tables. The use of headings and subheadings in your paper is strongly encouraged (see below).

Questions to ask yourself before submitting your paper:
1. Have you clearly articulated both the social and demographic (population) significance of the topic?

2. Have you clearly articulated the “need” that makes the problem a problem?

3. Has the data been presented and discussed in a way that makes the problem statement flow in a logical progression?

4. Does the data documentation match the problem? Does it elaborate the contours of the problem?

5. Have you clearly articulated a case for the seriousness of the problem?

6. Are the tables clearly labeled and properly constructed so that someone unfamiliar with the problem can look at the data with understanding?

7. Has the paper been carefully proofread and checked for grammatical/spelling errors? Did you conform to APA style in citing references, including data sources?
