Paper, Order, or Assignment Requirements
This is a final year dissertation on the progression of cinema/film production in the United Arab Emirates.
This is from the module outline:
The most important thing about a dissertation is planning. You need to set an achievable timetable that you will be be able to maintain for the academic year. When we are writing up our research publishers/editors always tell us to “work little but often”. This might be that you set yourself a target of 500 words a week, which is very little but highly achievable. For example, if you set this target you will have completed your literature review by week nine. One thing you must not do is ignore the dissertation and think that you can complete it all next year in semester two. I have seen numerous students take this ill advised approach and end up highly stressed in semester two. Here is the timetable that I suggest you should follow:
Semester One (weeks two to 12) – Complete literature review
Christmas Break (no tutorials) – Produce draft of methodology
Semester Two (weeks one to three) – Conduct research
Semester Two (weeks four to nine) – Complete findings
Remainder of Semester Two – Introduction and conclusion
