This essay is a proposal for change on Sea Turtle Endangerment, what are the causes, how do we fix it, etc.

From the assignment:
Your proposal (think editorial) should provide accurate and well-researched information, provide clear definitions, offer clear and reasoned arguments, and be organized in a way that makes sense to someone who is interested in how we might solve some of the problems plaguing our state.
Your document should be typed in 12-point font; standard font (Ariel, Calibri or Times New Roman) all margins should be one inch; your report should be double-spaced. This report should be between 4-6 pages. (Paragraphs are a must, sections aren’t.)

Assessment

I will ask the following questions as I assess your writing project:

Does this propose a reasonable solution to a problem or situation in a state?

Is the paper organized in a way that makes sense to an outside audience? Are the points organized logically from paragraph to paragraph and from sentence to sentence?

Does the introductory paragraph establish the purpose and context for the essay?

Are there enough details to support the claims you’re making?

Do you use sources to support your claims?

Did you introduce sources effectively using a signal phrase and/or parenthetical citation?

Does your writing make sense on a sentence level? Has it been revised for a formal audience?
