Learning Outcomes: On successful completion of this module students will be able to: 1. Debate current practices, catalysts and drivers for quality, safety and risk management in healthcare and apply best practice quality & risk frameworks, tools and techniques to their area of practice. 2. Critically discuss accreditation and standards as an external assessment of healthcare service quality and risk. 3. Evaluate the use of healthcare and clinical governance frameworks to demonstrate the co-ordination of quality, safety and risk management initiatives in healthcare and foster a patient safety culture. 4. Analyse a case study appropriate to healthcare quality and risk. 5. Demonstrate ability to effectively and concisely communicate the key concepts of an evidence-based healthcare quality, safety and/or governance framework to meet the requirements of an academic poster.
