The question on my assignment was changed so I did not end up using the essay. However, I do feel that some of the information can me used for this new question. feel free to use the research on Dewey as much as you’d like.
The question is
Given the current policies and laws of the country and your state, explain the common structures and elements of curriculum in your school system. How are John Dewey, Ralph W. Tyler and Maria Montessori represented in the curriculum and instruction and in what ways would you recommend that these thinkers be more or less represented.

I would like to discuss the current policies NCLB, High stakes testing and Common Core Standards
Research needs to be done on 3 philosophers (Dewey, Tyler and Montessori) and make a connection with their philosophies and current curriculum and instruction
