I am required to write a short story for my Year 12 English Class. It does not need referencing. The task is to chose a theme in The Great Gatsby and apply it to a different situation If you think of another theme in The Great Gatsby that you would think that would be written better go ahead 🙂 Other themes can include, love, lies and deceit, however I do think a short story about the high class society would be interesting. The scene/setting needs to be described quite indepth at parts at Fitzgerald (the author) describes the setting in detail
