Desсrіption During the first assignment, each group was working with a data set. This second individual assignment is focused on generating value from our data set. It consists on designing a dashboard using Tableau. Each student will use same data set from the previous assignment but this is an individual case. Task to be done Each student must create a dashboard that will help a user to make decisions (related to the the specific case). Deliverables Dashboard Definition Document: This documents must describe the following aspects: (1) Determine the audience. Who will use the dashboard? Ex. Sales manager, (2) Determine the objective. Which is the decision-making goal of this dashboard? Ex. Understanding daily sales performance per store, (3) Determine the metrics and the content. Which type of content will appear in the dashboard? Ex. In terms of elements: KPIs, filters, graph. And in terms of content: ex. line spoilage costs, maintenance and repair spending, and (4) Determine the levels of data: Which data aggregation level will be required by the audience? Ex. plant level vs. county level Dashboard File: a tableau file that contains the dashboard and data extraction. Evaluation The grade will split as follows: Dashboard Definition Document (20%) Dashboard (80%) During the evaluation process, the professor will review the document and open the dashboard (tableau file) to validate that they are working properly. Pleasure ensure that works and if it is needed provide instructions. Datasets Each student has an specific dataset assigned. It is the same as first assignment. Guidelines for the second assignment What we need to do. This assignment has two parts. Dashboard Design document. You need to identify who will use the dashboard (persona), which are the persona′s needs (which translate into content). Answering the questions will help. You will have access to a more detailed process during session 10. Dashboard (with Tableau): You need to implement the dashboard using Tableau. That means connect to the data source, extract the data, create the elements of the dashboard, combine the elements in a dashboard. Optional: If you think that it is needed for your assignment, you can use the data storytelling capabilities of the tool.
