Order Description
You are required to reflect on your own and your family’s experience of health care, and the experiences, beliefs and assumptions that have led you to choose to study nursing.

You are then required to explore the views and theories articulated by nursing theorists published in scholarly literature, and apply what you learn to develop a personal nursing philosophy of care (1800 words +/- 10% including in-text references).

*Please be aware that the personal experience is not viewed separately, it may be included to help justify your personal philosophy if appropriate- some people may believe it isn’t relevant to their philosophy…what I want you to consider is why you are here doing nursing, and what is your inspiration to perform as a nurse and how do you see that nurses ‘are’ or ‘should be’ and how will that influence you. Remember to use the nursing theorists too- to explain their views and to justify your position. You need to relate the theorists- more than one, to your personal philosophy and show you have an understanding of what they are saying about nursing.

This paper can be written in the first person because it relates to your views and your analysis but it must be underpinned with critical reflection, the ANMC Code of Professional Conduct and Code of Ethical Practice, and scholarly literature.
