DEMOGRAPHICS ANALYSIS & SITE SELECTION: Conduct a demographics analysis utilizing the MAG Interactive Mapping and Analysis tool (http://ims.azmag.gov/) to identify potential study areas. As this project is intended to be a needs-based assessment of accessibility, consider the various demographic characteristics of a disadvantaged neighborhood in need of walkable public parks and food access. Choose a 1⁄2 x 1⁄2 mile focus study area that closely fits these characteristics. Be prepared to share the boundaries of your study area, the demographic characteristics, and justification for why you selected your particular study area.
NOTE: You should NOT select a study area based on its proximity to a particular park or food source you wish to examine, but rather you should select your study area based entirely on its demographic characteristics that suggest a high need for accessibility.cc
