The penalties for plagiarism can be severe and can include dismissal from the University.

INSTRUCTIONS AND GUIDELINES FOR THE ORAL PRESENTATION

1. Prepare an oral presentation that provides a synopsis of your written report.
2. PowerPoint slides should contain bullet points with brief explanations, and should not be wordy, cluttered and crowded; i.e., they should not look like pages from a printed book.
3. Slide should include only key equations, formulas, diagrams, etc. (if any).
4. Use a large, dark font against a simple, light-colored background (for clarity and contrast). Do not use dark multicolored backgrounds because the projector can change the colors from what you see on your computer screen and the slides may become unreadable when projected during your presentation.
5. Full credit (authors, sources, etc.) should be provided on your slides and verbally, during your presentation. Insufficient credit may result in charges of plagiarism and penalties being applied against the student.
