You will be required to write a comparative analytical text response on the play �A View From The Bridge� and the film, �On The Waterfront�. Your analysis will need to show that you understand that the two texts have different perspectives on a related idea or theme.

Word length: Approx. 700-800 words

You will be assessed on the following criteria:
� Understanding of the texts and how they convey ideas, issues and themes from different perspectives. Identification of meaningful connections and areas for comparison.

� Effective comparison that presents a clear understanding of the ideas, issues and themes in both texts through close analysis of the similarities and/or differences.
