Suggestions
In deciding on a topic, you should ask yourself the following:
What debatable topic interests me?
What concerns me?
What do I want to learn more about?

In evaluating your topic, please ask yourself the following:
-What is the issue? How can I best define it?
-Is it an arguable issue??
-What do I know about this issue?
-What are some relatable issues?
-How can I narrow the issue for an essay-length argument?
-What are my views on the issue? How can I state my claim?
-What evidence supports my claim?
-Does my argument include a call for action? What do I want readers to do, if anything,
about the issue?
-What is the counterargument? How can I refute the counterargument?
