consequences of introducing a company-wide Management Information System into an organisation?

Order Description
This is an essay assignment for a Management Information Systems module which is one of the modules on my MBA studies. I found this particular module to be incredibly
dull and boring as it’s highly theoretical so I’m seeking help in order to complete it. To help me here you need to use one of the information systems theories
discussed in the module handbook (attached) and talk about consequences of introducing an MIS system in a company through the lens of that theory. I would use either
Labour Process Theory or Actor Network Theory (LPT and its relevance to IS is explained in the module handbook – sections 1a and 1b, ANT is explained in section 4a).
Feel free to use real life case studies to illustrate your argument (e.g. company X introduced an MIS system and observed such and such consequences and phenomenons
when it was implemented. It’s mostly about the distribution of power between management and a regular employee and about management retaining control over workforce
through MIS. Please use US spelling and Harvard referencing style. Essay should be broken down to parts or sections clearly outlining the issue being discussed. The
structure should not disrupt the flow of the essay. Original assignment instructions are below and are also attached in the MITS Feb17.pdf file.

to the question will require reflection on the issues that you have encountered throughout the module. It is important to bear in mind that the content of your answer
will depend on the argument that you wish to put forward in answer to the question and not solely on the concepts that the question explicitly identifies.
The question invites you to apply one or more theories discussed in the module to an understanding of how an MIS may change life inside an adopting organisation.
Labour Process Theory and Actor Network Theory stress the impact on power relations whilst other theories (technologies of representation) also consider how an MIS may
offer an unrealistic or distorted picture of how organisations actually work in practice.
