Choose any past or present myth or legend. In your introduction, briefly describe the myth/legend in your own words. Then analyze what fear/value caused the myth to obtain its mythical or legendary status. Consider what this myth/legend reveals about America or Americans–what we value, fear, etc. Your thesis should argue what value/fear caused the figure/story to obtain mythical or legendary status (ex. “Name of figure/story” obtained American legendary status because “his/her” story embodies the American “ideal or fear” of “fill in the blank”

Must be in times new roman 12pt, indent paragraphs, body of at least three well developed paragraphs, introduction, conclusion, double spaced, 2 sources, proper Mla citations, do not use first or second person pronouns in your essay.
