1.- Topic Selection (10 pts): identify a nutrition problem or issue in your community that you would like to analyze. Do not choose a broad topic. Try to be as specific as possible.
2.- Introduction (15 pts): state the purpose of the research project, present existing knowledge about the problem from relevant sources, research or views of the problem in the community (use APA format for text citations). Include a reference section with all resources used.
3.- Designing Process (15 pts): collect data from national and local statistical sources as needed for your project (CDC, USDA, FDA, NIH, DCHD), include information about the methodology used for data collection.
4.- Analysis (15 pts): organize and synthetize relevant data to reach sound conclusions about the problem.
5.- Discussion/Conclusions (15 pts): make tentative conclusions supported by the data in regard to your community problem as stated on the introduction.
6.- Limitations and Implications (10 pts): discuss relevant limitations for your project, what could be done better also what would this imply for future references. How does your inquiry apply to a larger context and the real world?
