Paper #2: Your Public Health Intervention
This assignment provides you with an opportunity to be creative and show me what area of public health you are interested in! For this assignment you are to develop and explain your own public health intervention in the area of public health of your choice. This 7 pages(double-spaced) paper and is worth a possible 75 points.

Follow all APA guidelines (e.g., cover page, in-text citations, reference list).Make sure to provide citations for any statement you make that warrants a citation—when in doubt, cite! Please format your paper (5-7 pages) as double-spaced with 1 inch margins as a Word document. (APA, formatting, citations is worth 15 points).

This paper should include, and will be graded on, the following components:
(1) An explanation of the public health problem/issue you plan to address with your intervention citing a minimum of 3 peer-reviewed research articles as support. (15 points)
(2) A clear description of your unique intervention and how it will address the public health problem/issue you have explained above. This section should include a theory and/or model from this course (or from Glanz text not specifically covered in this course) that you are using to develop and evaluate your public health intervention (that will help ensure it will be successful). Describe how your intervention is based on your chosen theory/model. Make sure to provide citation(s) for the theory and/or model you use. You may consider providing citations of studies that has done similar work as your intervention, if such exists. Be creative!! (30 points)
(3) Finally, provide a detailed explanation of how your plan to evaluate your intervention and the expected outcomes you hope result. Make sure to use your theory/model as a basis for your evaluation. You do not need to cite validated survey instruments—just provide an explanation of the constructs you plan to evaluate and how you plan to do this (e.g., self-report survey, interview, focus groups, clinical measurement of X). (15 points)
