Write a classical argument that addresses one of the following questions. The essay must use the NPR podcast This American Life “579 My Damn Mind: When Your Hospital-Borne Infection Is a Bullet” with the story about Alan Pean and the accompanying article by Elizabeth Rosenthal “When the Hospital Fires a Bullet.” Two additional sources of your choosing are also required, but they must be relevant and lend some expertise or authority to your argument.

1. Should hospital guards and law enforcement officers who work at hospitals be allowed to carry guns?
